78023EN - Rear shock absorber adjustment ETNA 🔧

Model: Exa Form A5-RE

To properly set the Exa Form A5-RE shock pressure, you must consider your weight and the type of terrain you will be riding your bike on. The ideal pressure may vary depending on these variables, but here are some general guidelines to help you:

1. Determine your weight with equipment: This includes your weight plus the weight of any equipment or accessories you carry with you while riding.

2. Consult the manufacturer's manual: Link here.

The recommended air pressure for the master cylinder is 100-150PSI.

Negative pressure should not exceed the main pressure. DO NOT EXCEED 180PSI.

3. Test and adjust: If you do not have access to the manual, a general rule of thumb is to start with a pressure that is approximately 15-20% of your total weight in kilograms converted to psi (pounds per square inch). For example, if you weigh 70 kg, you might start with a pressure around 105-140 psi. Adjust the pressure up or down based on how the suspension feels as you ride.

4. Adjust for terrain: If you're riding mainly on soft terrain, you might prefer a lower pressure for better shock absorption. For rougher or more technical terrain, a higher pressure may offer better performance and prevent the shock from compressing too much.

The key is to adjust the pressure so that you get the best combination of comfort, performance, and control based on your needs and riding conditions. If you can, it may be useful to try different settings in a place where you can feel how the shock responds to different types of impacts.
